| Dr. Wanliang Fang was born in Henan, China, in 1958. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China in 1982 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 1999, all in electrical engineering. He is currently a professor of electrical engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University. His research interests include power system stability analysis and control, FACTS, and HVDC. He is among the authors of the books Modern Power System Analysis and Power System Transient Analysis. |
